Mid-week color

Happy Hump Day!  While it is still 100+ here, I decided I wanted to wear a pair of pants today despite the heat.  I went with a fun geometric print and one of my all-time favorite necklaces (I just got the black one today in the mail!).  I still felt pretty comfortable regardless of the ridiculous heat!  After work I switched out the navy pants for a pair of navy shorts and got a whole new outfit for running some errands.

Now that we are home for the night, it's time to start planning what I'm going to take to our trip to Atlanta.  Not going to escape the hot weather, but it will be a nice change of scenery.  Looking forward to baseball games and good Southern food!  I'm thinking there will be plenty of stripes and shorts packed for this laid-back vacation!

Day 3 of 100+!

Summer's just starting and we've already had 3 consecutive days above 100!  It's hard to imagine what the rest of the summer will be like at this rate!

For work today, I again went with something comfy and cool.  With the temperatures where they are at, and the nice big windows at my back, it's pretty hard to be cold in the office lately!

I found this Anthropologie dress on sale late spring and it is becoming one of my favorites.  I am looking forward to fall/winter and pairing it with boots, tights and a sweater/cardigan.

Hot Monday

With today's temperature exceeding 100, I wanted to make sure I wore something to work that was going to be comfy and cool.  This Webster for Target color block dress was just what I had in mind!

Hot weather and I don't get along, maybe that explains the face I'm making!  Looks like this will be another long, hot summer!

Tonight I am meeting my college roommate for dinner and a concert. It's pretty hot here in Tulsa, so I'm going with a simple green sundress with a denim jacket.  Have a great evening!

My first challenge

While trying to think of a good way to kick off my blog, I figured I needed to start at home base- my closet. I've tried many times organizing my closet. So many different ways, but what works best? By color? By type of clothing? By season? Or a combination of the types?

So I am going to set out to find out which will work for me. After we moved into our house almost 3 years ago (can't believe we are almost at 3 years!!), I still haven't been thrilled with my set-up. Who knows what I'll end up finding that I forgot about!
